A long beach of small, coloured pebbles on the north coast, in shades of red, grey and green. There is a taverna and a little shade from tamarisk trees.

A small pebble beach on the shore of Grikos bay, below the great rock of Kalikatsou. It is quiet and the water is calm.

SandWild
One of the few sandy beaches on Patmos, in a quiet cove in the south. A seasonal taverna serves the beach in summer.
On foot along a footpath from the road above, or by caïque in summer.
Bring water and shoes for the walk.

A sheltered bay with a small beach beside the harbour. Tavernas stand on the shore and the water is calm. The village has a few places to stay.

A shaded bay close to Skala, with tamarisk trees at the water's edge. A good place for a swim when you do not want to go far.

A broad, sheltered bay below the farming village of Kampos, with a few tavernas on the shore.

A quiet bay with tamarisk shade, just over the hill from Skala. It is usually less busy than the beaches farther out.

Wind and sea change by the day. On windy days swim on the sheltered side of the island, and watch for red flags.
